Dense fog in Chatham County
Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by NWS Peachtree City 558 am Thurs Feb 6
Patchy fog could reduce visibility to less than one mile over parts of north and central Georgia, especially areas between Atlanta and Macon. The fog will burn off by 10 AM. An isolated thunderstorm could produce a few lightning strikes in far north Georgia, otherwise no hazardous weather is expected.

DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST THIS MORNING...
Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog in Coastal Chatham County. Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.

Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS monitoring sites in Georgia
67 degrees at Warner Robins Air Force Base with patchy dense fog in north and central Georgia, the high 76. Dense fog in the south, Hunter US Army Airfield in Chatham County records a temp of 59 degrees, the fog advisory extends to 11 am shifting to sun, high 81F.
Water levels through the north are predominantly below the 10th percentile, much below seasonal normal. Central and south Georgia run below normal to seasonal normal, the higher end of the range occurring further south. Coosa River watershed continues to shift to lower water levels over the last few days, now as many stations below normal as those retaining the normal ratings.
Chattahoochee River watershed qualifies for a moderate drought rating from Cobb County to Muscogee County, matching up with the adjacent Tallapoosa River watershed Haralson and Carroll, still rated moderate drought. Neighboring Coosa River watershed to the north has descended into moderate drought in Polk, Floyd, Chattooga and central Walker Counties. The north remains below normal 7-day average moisture conditions in all but Gilmer, Murray and Whitfield, east Gordon and west Pickens Counties, unrated. In central Georgia, the Upper Flint River watershed is rated below normal, Upper Ocmulgee River watershed is unrated, Upper Oconee River and Upper Savannah River watersheds are unrated. In the south, Lower Flint, Lower Ocmulgee, Lower Oconee and Lower Savannah River watersheds are below normal, matching the current streamflow dashboard, the majority of south Georgia remains unrated on the drought map.
