Thanksgiving rain has refreshed the northeast back to seasonal normal streamflows

Streamflow Situation from the network of the USGS monitoring stations in Georgia
Fair, 46 degrees at Warner Robins Air Force Base, becoming sunny with a high of 54 Friday. Streamflows are normalizing in the northeast, the Upper Savannah River watershed has recovered from below normal water levels with the rains over Thanksgiving Day. Northwest, central and south streamflows run normal to above normal with three locations in the lower Atlantic drainage basin area still running above 90th percentile, much above normal. No active flooding or high flows are detected in the network as of this report, no extreme low flows.

The drought map shows Tennessee River watersheds east and west continue with the below normal rating along the north state line. In the Upper Savannah River watershed area, in spite of current streamflow values back to seasonal normal, the 7-day average is still below normal in Hart, Banks, Franklin, Madison, Oglethorpe, Elbert and Lincoln Counties. Charlton County remains below normal in the St Marys River watershed area in the south.

The FEMA Flood Map Service Center (MSC) is the official public source for flood hazard information produced in support of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Use the MSC to find your official flood map, access a range of other flood hazard products, and take advantage of tools for better understanding flood risk.

FEMA flood maps are continually updated through a variety of processes. Effective information that you download or print from this site may change or become superseded by new maps over time.
