Water levels much above seasonal normal after weekend rain
Streamflow Situation from the network of river monitors of the USGS throughout the watersheds of Georgia
Fair, 53 degrees at Warner Robins Air Force Base heading up to 67 today in the sunshine, no rain in the forecast for north or central Georgia. Conditions are mostly cloudy, 59 at Hunter US Army Airfield, the Charleston SC local forecast office calls for sun around Savannah, a high 71.
Streamflows are mostly above the 90th percentile through the north, following rain on the weekend. A mix of above normal to much above normal streamflows is recorded in central Georgia, shifting to seasonal normal water levels in the south, the lower end of the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic drainage basins. Chattahoochee River watershed is no longer in moderate drought. A few below normal ratings remain after the widespread rains on the weekend rehydrated the landscape. A relatively small part of the Upper Savannah River watershed, comprised of Banks,Franklin, Madison and Oglethorpe Counties is rated below normal. Satilla\Altamaha River watershed remains below normal through Appling, Camden and Glynn Counties. St. Mary's River watershed is below normal through Charlton County. On the Gulf side of the divide, Lower Flint River watershed is rated below normal from Randolph and Terrell Counties down through Calhoun and Baker Counties.
