Safe Drinking Water Act
Glynn County: Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water and Sewer Commission has issued the all-clear statement for Marshview Circle, which was under a BWA briefly over the weekend. The statement from BGJWSC issued Dec 21, "All required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory has passed. Results have been verified by our state-licensed technician within a certified laboratory environment. This notification is an ALL-CLEAR and water used for drinking will no longer need to be boiled."
According to BGJWSC, water service was disrupted Friday afternoon in a construction accident, when a contractor bored through a water main. Service was restored a little more than an hour later, with residents of Marshview Circle under a BWA for 18 to 24 hours over the weekend. Staff at the joint commission say impacted ratepayers signed up for notifications will receive a message when the BWA is over. As of this report the BGJWSC website still shows an active boil advisory in effect for Marshview Circle residents.
