NWS: Dense Fog Advisory for north and central GA
Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by NWS Peachtree City 431 am EST Tues Nov 12 2024
Areas of dense fog have formed across portions of central Georgia this morning. Visibility could be reduced as low as one-half to one-quarter of a mile at times through 9 AM.
Showers and isolated rumbles of thunder will be possible Wednesday night into Thursday. Brief periods of moderate to heavy rainfall will also be possible in portions of north Georgia.

Streamflow Situation from the USGS network of streamflow gauges in Georgia
Fair and 64 degrees at Warner Robins Air Force Base as the fog clears off, expecting a sunny day with a high 75. Twenty-one flood events are recorded through the continental USA this hour, 4 of these in Georgia.
Altamaha River flooding ended around 7 am this morning near Baxley. To the east in the Atlantic drainage basin, Ohoopee River is still flooding near Reidsville, slowly receding from the major flood stage, running more than six and a half feet about the channel in moderate flood stage. Canoochee River continues to flood, two feet over the channel near Claxton. Ogeechee River runs close to three feet over the channel near Eden, Savannah River continues to run half a foot over the channel at Clyo. See the black tags on the map to the right for details.
Streamflows in the north run normal to below normal.
Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Camden: Kingsland Boil water advisory issued Friday Nov 8 following emergency repairs to a main water line. Kingsland water system serves a population of 22,448 from a groundwater well source. Kingsland is an EPA enforcement priority with a current serious violation, exceeding the maximum contaminant level for total trihalomethane, a violation of Stage 2 disinfection and by-products of disinfection rule. The last sanitary survey of the facility was conducted by state of Georgia April 2023.
