Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Camden: Kingsland Boil water advisory issued Friday Nov 8 following emergency repairs to a main water line. Kingsland water system serves a population of 22,448 from a groundwater well source. Kingsland is an EPA enforcement priority with a current serious violation, exceeding the maximum contaminant level for total trihalomethane, a violation of Stage 2 disinfection and by-products of disinfection rule. The last sanitary survey of the facility was conducted by state of Georgia April 2023.
Streamflow Situation from the USGS network of streamflow gauges in Georgia
Overcast at Warner Robins Air Force Base this hour, expecting partly sunny conditions this afternoon with a high 77. Out of 24 river sensors indicating active flooding in the continental USA Monday, 5 of these events are presently recorded in Georgia's southeast, Atlantic drainage basin, Savannah and Ogeechee and Altamaha River watersheds.
Altamaha River is flooding near Baxley, running more than a foot over minor flood stage, appears to have reached peak flow and is beginning to slow down. Ohoopee River is still in major flood stage, eight feet over the channel near Reidsville. Canoochee River remains in moderate flood stage, close to 4 ft over the channel near Claxton on a slow declining flow trend. Ogeechee River is flooding near Eden and Savannah River is flooding at Clyo. See the black tags on the map to the right for details.
Streamflows continue to run much below normal to below normal in the northwest.
