Moderate drought in the north

Streamflow Situation
Slow flow and lower water levels continue through north and central Georgia Tuesday, now creeping into the south with below normal provisional data measurements on both sides of the divide. Lower Chattahoochee, Atlantic drainage Oconee River, Ogeechee River noted with much below normal flow levels. The drought map rates the watersheds of north and central Georgia below normal to moderate drought. The lower Coosa River watershed is rated moderate drought from central Walker south along the border to include west Polk County. Tennessee River east watershed runs moderate drought at Fannin, Union and Towns Counties. As of this reporting, there are no active floods recorded in the reference network, two low flows at 2nd percentile and no 1st percentile extreme low flows.
