The Rip Current Outlook is a forecast of expected rip current conditions. The colored flags posted on surf beaches are the estimation of and expectation of local beach patrol, lifeguards, or local law enforcement officials. These colored flags refer to one of any number of surf zone hazards. The colored flags reflect actual, current surf zone hazards. The Rip Current Outlook portion of the Surf Zone Forecast provides standardized terminology for describing this hazard.

Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Ocmulgee River watershed: Macon Water Authority in Bibb County issued a BWA Sunday for several areas after a water main break at the corner of Zebulon Rd and Bass Rd. See the yellow tag on the map for the areas affected. According to US EPA, Macon Water Authority has no violations and fully compliant with SDWA over the last three years. The Macon Water Authority distribution system involves 1664 miles of water main ranging from 1.5 to 54 inches diameter, according to the MWA. The treatment plant supplies finished drinking water to more than 55 thousand customers.

Suwannee River watershed: The water is back on in Argyle Village, weeks after Tropical Storm Debby stomped through Clinch County with widespread flooding. Argyle customers were advised to boil water as service was restored, a necessary precaution following the flooding of groundwater wells. The areas around the Town well heads has been sanitized, the system has been disinfected, any stagnant water in the system will have been flushed out and authorities will advise when the water is potable.

The City of Gordon has issued a Boil Water Advisory until further Notice, according to the Mayor of the City on Friday, August 30.
