Flood Tracker provisional data from USGS streamflow monitors
Eighty-three streamflow gauges record flooding in the USA Tuesday late evening, up from seventy-three floodings at our last update. WT tracks the nation's most common natural disaster dynamics through New York, Ohio, Georgia and Louisiana. As of this report, 30 monitors indicate active flooding; 4 in Georgia, 4 in Louisiana and 22 in Ohio.

Current streamflow map for Ohio registers twenty-two stations above flood stage. Great Miami River, Mad River, Muskingum River, Scioto River, Licking River are flooding Tuesday night, see map for updated flood flows.

Georgia, Day 27: On the Atlantic side of the drainage divide, Ohoopee River flooding ended near Reidsville around 530 pm today. Altamaha River is still flooding Tuesday night, around the same level as this morning, nine inches over near Baxley. Savannah River dropped down through the day, running a foot and ten inches over near Cylo. Little Satilla and Satilla Rivers are down slightly, Little Satilla five inches over near Offerman and Satilla River an even two feet over flood stage at Atkinson.

New York State streamflows dip further below normal Tuesday in an area very recently flowing much above seasonal normal. Lower Hudson and Delaware River watersheds record mostly normal flows Tuesday as Susquehanna watershed drops further below normal, with just one station still posting a normal flow level.

In Louisiana, Calcasieu River is up overnight, recorded at a foot over flood stage near Glenmora. In Region 1 northwest LA, Bayou Bodcau water level appears to be coming down, dropping several inches overnight, running five feet five inches above flood stage Shreveport. Pearl River on the east state border runs two feet over flood stage near Bogalusa in Washington Parish and a foot and three inches over at downstream Town of Pearl River in St. Tammany Parish.

See black tags on the map for active flood, blue for high flow, 99th percentile or more.

Drinking Water Advisories
Wilkinson County - Gordon - a Boil Water Advisory was issued following a water main leak and repair on Kennington Rd on Friday.

Dade County Water Authority has lifted a BWA following a water leak and service disruption March 27. The outage impacted the unincorporated community of Rising Fawn, specifically those water customers from Cornerstone Market to Ruby Lane on Hwy 157.

Hazardous Spills
Heavy rain events in Dekalb County often come with an especially nasty side effect. Callers to Georgia EPD report overflowing manholes and raw sewage escaping into the creeks on both sides of the state divide. North Dekalb creeks collect runoff heading for the Chattahoochee River system in the Gulf of Mexico basin. South Dekalb creeks run to Lake Jackson, the Ocmulgee River of the Atlantic drainage basin. During the heavy rains this month, more than 750 thousand gallons of raw sewage is reported to have overflowed from manholes into the watersheds. In 2022, WTGA reported 10 million gallons of sewage impacted the creeks flowing into Lake Jackson, the head of the Ocmulgee River. Dekalb County has a strategy to reduce these stormwater overflows, WTGA investigates. More to follow.
